It's almost as dark as evening here, I haven't switched the house lights off since I got up first thing. The heavier rain has arrived too just as I put some more things out of the garage to dry , What a miserable day.

Ping meals for tea tonight, Beef in black bean sauce with sticky rice & chicken chow mein with egg noodles.

I’m now in plaster from my knee to my toes, and will be for at least 6 weeks.
Two breaks in the ankle and a chipped bone in the bone just below the knee.

Lots of pills to take, plus I have to have an injection in my tummy every evening to prevent DVT in my leg.

So my birthday and Xmas are going to be totally different this year.

I hope you and Jessica have a lovely time over the festive period and that both of you are on the mend.
Thank you Bob for those thoughts.

Not having a good day today as I have food poisoning from eating re-heated left overs. I have asked Jessica not to give me left overs again to eat as we can afford fresh food, so just on dry toast and Marmite.

I expect you have been told to wiggle your toes for circulation and non weight bearing to the injured leg. It’s great you are being looked after by your friend and you received top quality care from the NHS. Bob, you are from the school of tough and have been through much worse. We are all thinking of you….

Thank you Andy, it’s a 24 hour bug and I will be okay tomorrow.

Are you off for Christmas or will you be tending to the animals in the stable?

Crimbo cards posted, Christmas present to Ging's goddaughter in the States posted, late as usual. I only got given it to wrap label etc earlier today . . . . organisation isn't Ging's forte!

Only had food poisoning once, when we were on holiday in France. Last evening in Paris I ordered steak tartare . . . . not 100% sure what I was expecting but what arrived was basically a raw burger with a raw egg parked on top . . . . Stupidly I ate it. The following day we landed in Lourdes, dumped the stuff at the hotel and were wandering around "I don't feel right!". I spent the next 24 hours in the hotel room until Ging went out and found some Immodium.

Hope Bob , Phil, Steve, well, pretty much all of us are feeling better soon.

Just to let you know that Rich texted me today and wishes everyone a Happy Christmas. He is waiting on some new meds which he is hoping will lift his mood and maybe get back to posting up soon.

In the meanwhile....

Ros, myself and all the fluffy ones wish all the Chillouters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year..

45s & 46s . . . . the driving desk isn’t level, it slopes meaning you need to keep an eye on your cup or there’s every possibility it’ll end up in your lap or on the floor. Situation not aided by them rocking, rolling and bouncing all over the place once you get a bit of speed up.

Pass my seasons greetings on to Rich when you next speak to him Jeff.

Soon I'll find repose

And then I'll hold you in my dreams
