Morning all, What a grey day but at least that perishing north-easterly wind has abated, . I'm up early to take my sister to see the consultant at the knee & hip hospital in Salford for a check-up.

It's a little bit overcast here but nothing that looks like rain! I'm home today and I feel some baking will be on the cards

It's still here and giving my old whiplash injury some right stick! Cold, damp + trapped nerve = Ouch! Taking mum for diabetic eye check this afternoon, so plenty of ibuprofen and paracetomol is the order of the day! TTFN

Morning. Feeling cr@p, many thanks to my other half for passing on her cold. Achey, headache, snottery, sneezing and coughing. Best of it is I need to gather myself together enough to go out for some essentials.
Some not so great news this morning, old boy at the other end of the cottages is in hospital again and doubtful if he's coming out this time. |

Afternoon all.
Got the plumbers in, having the bathroom revamped. Judging by the noise I reckon he must been in next door. Neighbours told about the noise. It started off sunny this morning but now clouding over and feeling chilly, not helped with the plumbers in and out the front door. Still it needed doing.

Just back from Lidl, my head is pounding. Downing coffee and paracetamol.
Got what I need to make another batch of pandesal. Ging gave a lot of the last batch away to friends. Yeah. Sad, his wife is in a care home with dementia, no idea what will happen there. He was a heavy drinker all his life, developed diabetes and basically didn't change his lifestyle until the point where it was too late to make any real difference. Apparently both his feet are beyond saving and lower legs are going the same way! In theory he was a "painter and decorator" but more of a fixer, Arthur Daley type, had his hands in everywhere. When I still lived with my folks here I bought a motorbike from him! He'd taken it in part payment for a job. |

Sorry to hear about your neighbour Steve, Almost a carbon copy of the old couple a couple of doors up from me, His missus went into a care home with dementia & didn't know who he was in the end, He was an old pitman & had a stroke & died. Yikes! I'm having real trouble with my feet ranging from constant tingling to stabbing pains & they're red underneath I emailed my doc two weeks ago about this & other ailments (bowel incontinence & my painful feet) which might be linked to the month-long radiotherapy session I had for prostate cancer last year, The booklet MacMillan gave me at the time mentioned these two side effects might be from radiotherapy. He still hasn't replied, I've rung the surgery & they say he's not taking calls. I have an annual review coming up in a few weeks time so I bought one of those glucose blood sugar digital kits as someone said bad feet problems are associated with diabetes so, I have been keeping a log on the test results to take with me just in case it's to do with diabetes.
