Morning. Bright and sunny here but breezy and cool. Still hobbling around with a crutch and only paracetamol to try to cope. Tried to get more effective painkillers but phoning the surgery is pointless, get told to phone NHS24 who advised me to go to A&E but have to get myself there . . . . ain’t happening. Pain is easing, marginally, ramps up as the day goes on.

I wonder how folks manage to get appointments. Pharmacies will let you have a single pack of cocodamol (usually has to be okayed by the pharmacist.). After my fall and rib injuries, I ended up going to three pharmacies to avoid all the questions!!! Be careful though, as they can be addictive!!! It was the only way that I could get any sleep.

Because of my issues and other meds the only thing I can take without medical advice is paracetamol but I’m coming up against a brick wall, phone the surgery I get told I need to speak to NHS24, did that the other day and was advised to make my own way to A&E, I can’t. Only neighbour that drives is away, bus is out of the question and a taxi would be about thirty quid each way. got my doubts I'd be able to get into a car/taxi anyway. Just having to do what I can with paracetamol and a crutch for getting around the house.

Wonders never cease! The sun has made an appearance & there's actually some warmth to it.

I had a very similar situation, being told to go to a walk in centre 20 miles away! I was dizzy/nauseous and couldn't obviously travel. Second option was an appointment three weeks hence!

The system is well and truly BRUK!

Evening all,

It's been sunny, warm and a gentle breeze here today.
Popped over to the boat after work for a coffee and a catchup with a few friends

Hmm . . . . walking wounded is a slightly optimistic assessment. When I get up I can hobble around without the crutch but that doesn't last long, within an hour or so its required. Once I start moving around the pain builds up, I need to keep sitting down then the pain "resets" and I can get another few minutes of reduced pain movement.
