You could always make a few days of it Derek, drive halfway, stay overnight, drive rest of way next morning , come for the meal on the Saturday evening,then the meet on the Sunday, stop over again, and drive half way,then stop,over and go home next day. Make it a mini holiday,

Leave Friday and arrive home Tuesday.
