No, you are not exactly their declared target market Fred. In all honesty they probably don't want you to like it as then it could not possibly be "cool" to the target market could it!

I'd rather be hot than cool any day. The only trouble is tepid is probably more accurate.

That is a nice hatchback...but it does look just like any other hatchback. Nothing about it says that it's an MG. I am in the target market for this car, and i'probably would go for it if i was after that sort of thing. I'd be buying it ebcuase it looks alright, not because it's an MG. The passion has gone...

having said that, this isn't the first time the MG badge has been put on something that's not exactly "MG". i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the new begining for MG

Default MG 2 thing

I think that the mg2 looks fantastic. Very modern but unique as well. It has an interesting front quarter view.

It is however a small car and small cars are for townies! so I wouldn't want to have the borrow of a free one.

I would like a new MG6, (in a nice colour); if they were given away, free of charge, to Rover 75 owners as a loyalty bonus, to increase MG UK brand awareness.

i noticed the target market was 18-25 ,iam over 40 and really like it.
having owned a zr supermini's are not just for townies ,i did over 1000 miles in three days and was quite comfortable.
a modern supermini is quite capable of doing what a 75 or zt can do,
i for one would be quite happy to run one as an only car if need be.

IMO exactly the kind of thing MG China needs to produce to capture the young european market.

Could be the next Saxo! Love the front grill badge.

I do like what MG China are doing with the cars, but obviously traditionalists will be in arms, but then again, wee British didnt manage to keep the brand afloat, so lets see if this does the job.

What does the zero signify?
Looking at the pics I'm thinking zero boot space!
