Maybe worth arranging with Sean to get another copy to you in case yours has become corrupted.
Thanks Jeff,
I have checked on the android side to make sure nav is turned up, it is as high as it will go.
I'm running Primo off the sd card as was recommended, I have a backup copy of the nav software that I took of the original card will try that in a minute.

Thanks David,
I am using a tts voice and will try uninstalling the voice and app to see if it makes a difference, trouble is the ordinary voices have stopped working as well.
The svox app may have corrupted something though I suppose.

Quick update, have now tried all suggestions and still no joy.
I've now done another factory reset and every things working ok again.
I think there must be a file getting corrupted or something somewhere.

Anyway I now have some backup software installed and setting it back up from a reset is now a lot quicker.

Would like to know whats causing the problem though.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions.

Andy

I have what i call "the 3 month issue" and need to do the factory reset every 3 months. Did it twice since i had it. Once in december then end of feb. The awaited firmware update will hopefully cure it as i have reported it to Sean

That would be good if it does, just one of those little niggles I guess.
Nice to know I'm not on my own.

Another quick update, the sound has gone again.
It stopped working on Friday about half way through a journey where I needed the help.
Eveything else works fine but no sound less than a week this time, there must be a simple explanation for what's happening but I can't think what it could be.
I haven't got any other apps installed either in case it was one of them causing an issue.

Sure you didn't do anything strange with the settings?
Starting to sound like a more serious fault in the unit....

Yep no alterations to the settings, left them as they were from the factory reset just to be sure.
Hope not on your second point.

Hi,

I've also developed another sound problem, albeit an intermittent one. The problem shows itself upon startup, whereupon there will be no sound at all, what cures it is shutting down the unit and rebooting it again, sometimes doing it twice. As I've said the problem is rather sporadic in that it could go a day or 2 without showing itself, and then several times during one day maybe one of those things we have to live with,

Regards,

Marc

If you mean that the radio app is showing but not giving any sound? This can be easily solved by going to the main menu (SRC button) and then opening the radio app again (from the menu on the bottom).

Why this happens is still a bit unknown to me. But I have found that the (very) old Android OS on this unit is very badly edited and altered. So I'm hoping the upgrade to 4.x.x will solve this. (unless they also ruined that one... ).
