I got this from Sean for less than I could buy a bog standard FM one for on ebay.
Me and Coolcat got them and both of us are very impressed with the performance. The improvement of having antennas outside the car is significant.
We have indeed and they work very well.

Great write up Geraint, looks really good and hope to be able to hear it sometime in the future.
I can't recommend Focal speakers highly enough as well!

Here's another picture of Sean's Sharkfin fitted to my car

Wow, that's some serious time and effort you have put in there Geraint, and It looks a really tidy job mate. Can't wait to hear it one day.

Sean - I have words and it begins with "newer version of Android" and then i'll consider it. Needs to be able to run upto date apps like Torque and then it's worthwhile for me. Until then, mine can do everything the Android can with a tidy interface

Cheers for the kind words about interview. Been a long six months out of work with health problems first and then not being able to find a role but I had two interviews due this week on the same day so it's like the number 7 bus
Fingers crossed it's as good in reality as the description and that they want me to undertake it

lets hope not. Then i can take the mickey for ages to come lol

Still even with somehow making Torque work, i'd still want a more up to date Android interface like at least Jellybean.
Is that the update being looked into Sean or is it a "fix" so that we can get Torque application to work on the older OS ?

I don't want to seem "terse" or evasive. BUT I have to be , With the Chinese, What is said and what the final Outcome is, is too different things, and i would rather avoid broken promises or not up to expectations. the Android is Definitely going UP 4.x.x and WILL be able to put on the current units , As for What is beyond that , we just are not sure, I have submitted Bugs and changes , No confirmations of whats fixed or added as of yet.

Cheers

Keep us informed Sean.
The OS was the only reason I haven't jumped over yet, but once it can support Ice Cream Sandwich or later then i'd be onboard as using Torque on the headunit has a lot of appeal to me. Currently I have to do that on my phone.

Any ETA on news on it ?

Cheers
