Agree with what Tony said except, rather than money off, I'd be wanting a full refund for that shoddy workmanship

I feel both sorry and annoyed for you Trevor, what a bunch of cowboys. A name and shame might be in order to warn others off this place.

Oh dear bud I'd be down there waiting on them opening.

I meant to comment the other day about these being seized into the top mount I had it on mine.
Top of struts were really badly rusted & I ended up renewin them.

That is poor, loose droplink I could deal with, but not the loose trackrod end. May be me but your trackrods look different to the curved ones ive seen. May just be the photos. I would give thw car a good checking over.

Very poor standard of work, if you can call it that. I bet they aren't registered with the good garage scheme, maybe a call to consumer rights might be in order,

From post 5 he's a friend of trevs and I'd hazard a guess they were running late or close to finishing time & have been rushing & just forgot to double check there work. No excuse for leaving the car in a dangerous condition imagine they popped off whilst driving home.

Hi.
Yes the gaffer is a friend of mine but he's in Lanzarote right now.
I Whatsapped the pictures to him and within half an hour the foreman called me. The car will be trailered back tomorrow, I'll get a courtesy car and it will be sorted to my satisfaction.
Was told it was done by a fully time served mechanic!!!!

I just wonder what would have happened if it wasn't a driver on the ball, could have been cause of a serious accident.

Absolutely shocking to see, Trevor! Glad that they are sorting it, but it's very worrying that they might be sending other cars out in a similarly dangerous state, as few would be as meticulous in checking these things!

Hope they can sort it to a safe standard!

Hi.
Today was a disaster. I specifically asked that I needed a loan car at the very latest 09;45, even that was tight. They arrived at 09;44 to trailer the car away, once at the garage I'd get their VW Sharan.
This was no good as the time to get MFL on the trailer, secure it and get to the garage and leave would mean I missed the appointment.
It turned into a swearing match, with me being accused as being in the wrong for not taking the car back last night, I retaliated that the car should have been road tested and they were waiting for me to pick up the car so they could shut!
I told them to * off at this point. I quickly took off the wheel that had two loose bolts as well and did the necessary with the track rod end and drop link, I also checked all other nuts and bolt that were disturbed, which fortunately were fine.
I missed two important appointments due to the garage's incompetence.

I tell you this year is unreal. My daughters VW Beetle has been messed up by rubbish garages and now this. I really am not amused.
