These are COB LED rings and require no inverters

Ah OK. Haven't looked at those. Obviously an advance on the CCFL and the circular array of LEDs. Lots of info on YouTube if anyone (like me) isn't familiar with circular COBs.

A further question, (maybe part of your HowTo?), what system did you use to separate the lamp case/lens? I've read about using a heat gun directly on the mastic, or putting the complete lamp in the 80C kitchen oven or making a hot air box out of cardboard. Did you use one of these?

Complete unit in oven at 100' for 12 minutes and the lens comes clean off no problems at all

what did you use to mount the halo's? hot glue gun? i am ssuming you need a high temp adhesive inside a lamp housing?
