The yellow Scimitar now has a new friend, in the form of my silver project car, which I'm hoping to have on the road for the summer when funds are healthier, so that my girlfriend can use it, while we finish getting her classic on the road.
It's a 1978 SE6A manual overdrive again, but with just 62,000 miles from new. It's had a very good respray in the past, as well as having all the seats retrimmed. The body was taken off the chassis last year, and the chassis completely rebuilt using galvanised sections. It has Spax adjustable dampers all round, unleaded cylinder heads, and has new bottom end bearings. It's far smoother and more refined than my yellow one. It'll be very interesting to compare the two cars on the road.

Gotta love those Wolfrace wheels
Actually, the colour suits her. I prefer it to the yellow. Lovely car I'm actually envious. . . . Ali.

Thanks Ali!
I'm a massive fan of Wolfraces! Always thought that a big set would look amazing on a 75! The colourscheme is unusual, being a 1978 car, when Reliant offered quite a few two tones, which were very subtle. This one is a very light metallic green, and a nice slightly dark silver on the bottom. It's barely noticeable in most lights! I'll put some interior shots up later!

Very nice indeed Fraser
Will you be at Kirkcudbright with them later this year? I've got a nice set of 10" Wolfrace alloys all ready to go on Mrs mininuts Mini Pickup.

Thanks Paul! I'm really chuffed with it! Bought it completely blind, but because it had a good engine, I thought it was worth the risk as a spare car for mine, but it's actually a better car than the yellow one in most respects, as much as that pains me!
I'll definitely have it at Kirkcudbright in August, hopefully the two cars, if all goes to plan. In the meantime, pop in any time if you fancy a look around it! I always think Minis look so cool on Wolfraces!

Oh yes, now you've pointed it out I can see the green over silver, very subtle in the photos.
Wolfraces on a 75, now there's an idea Thanks for the interior shot. Oh dear, the seats don't look very supportive. And I think the colour needs some work (re-dying?), I can count four different colours of tan/beige/brown/whatever leather. But photos can be misleading. Dash kindof reminds me of a Mk3 Cortina .. . Love the steering wheel! Ali.

Unfortunately, it seems that even Reliant weren't able to colour coordinate things when new, so I'll leave it. The leather gaiters, and seats have been retrimmed in an approximation of the rest of the interior colour. I don't mind it much!
