Netbooks have their place for browsing, skype, facebook, etc. But hasn't the whole concept been made redundant since the iPad/Android tablets came along?
Surely it's a choice now between laptop or tablet? Bearing in mind that neither the netbook or tablet are practical alternatives to a full sized laptop. |

My daughter bought one of these for doing her work while at college.
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pav...61477-pdt.html More powerfull than an a netbook but small with a good enough battery life for her needs and light enough to be carried to college and back. She has a larger more powerful laptop for use when at home but to be honest she hasn't used it since she bought this. A lot of her friends have netboooks and aren't happy with the speed of them. We tested a lot of laptops/netbooks out to make sure she was happy with the feel, keyboards etc and then waited for the sales. |
