The FTSE100 is 6687 - just a whisker under what it was in 2007 before the whole economy went (.)'s up.

The £ has fallen to sensible levels - it was far too high and was impeding our exports and enabling us to import far too cheaply rather than making "stuff" here in the UK.

The EU is an economic basket case with a currency that forces some member states to put up with 50% Youth unemployment.

There ARE protests on the streets of places like Greece over this!

But hey! - if the vote went against you - Ignore all this!

Ignore the fact that the UK economy is responding well whilst there is Euro induced protest on the streets of the PIGS within the Euro zone and try to spread a bit of daft wish fulfilment as you didn't get what you wanted.

Sorry guys but I see this a bit pathetic.

So Has everybody forgotten Gordon Brown then

Its nothing new, B'Liar handed power to Brown in exactly the same way and that was nothing to do with Breixt.

We don't elect the head of government in this country, its not America.

Theresa May is unelected, just like every other Prime Minister has been. We elect MPs, the party with the most MPs forms a government, The head of that party is the Prime Minister.

The only people who Voted for David Cameron are those in his Constituency.

Quite!

And of course Major after Thatcher

And Callaghan after Wilson.

A Minister - even the PRIME one is just that - a MINISTER!

They can change and be changed - but this does not trigger an election in any way.

I wonder what the longest a new PM has gone without having an election?

Its quite easy to predict these self righteous "5 year old throwing a tantrum" protests. Its the same type of person every time.

Blair gets elected- No protests, that's democracy.

Cameron gets elected- Massive tantrums, Demonstrations on the streets.

Corbyn elected leader of Labour- No protests.

Corbyn looks like he might be deposed- Protests, threats, bricks through windows etc.

You can guarantee that a remain vote would NOT have seen similar tantrums being thrown.

Social Justice Warriors don't like the word No, and they positively hate democracy if it doesn't agree with them.

I don't think that's fair. I remember no end of complaints about blair getting voted in, same when he handed over to brown. People complaining that we should have an election, that its an afront to democracy etc.

As to if we'd have had a remain vote, they'd be people screaming blue murder, about how it was a fit up, how baised the media was, remember the complaints about those leaflets? There would have been every excuse know to mankind trotted out, you could bet your house on that!

The philosophy behind a referendum doesn't stack up. If it goes your way (no matter how narrowly) that's it, no possibility of another. If it doesn't go your way you want another until it's in your favour. With the one we have just had, we all should remember how close it was, if we reran it shortly, I would be confident it would be for remain. The politicians have to deal with that, and do what's best for the country. I hope they can stand up to the mark. There will be casualties and some remainers (MPs) are going along with the notion of exit for now, presumably while they try and sort out how we can maintain our trade with the EU.
