Thank you.
If I had the space I would dearly love to buy another one to do up. One that I wouldn't feel bad using in the rain. This one doesn't go out in the wet. I even use waterless car wash spray to clean it!!

I've been getting a bit more experimental with the travel lens..
I went to Ireland last week, went for a walk by the harbour and captured these: Irish Ferries "Isle of Inishmore" alongside "Stena Europe" at Rosslare Harbour, Ireland by Philip Davies, on Flickr Stena Europe at Rosslare Harbour, Ireland. by Philip Davies, on Flickr I noticed that the sky was very dark and there were a number of stars visible. I aimed the camera into the sky over a derelict cottage to see what I might pick up. The shot itself isn't great, you can see where the stars are elongated due to the movement of the earth, but all the same, I could not believe how many stars I caught! These were not visible to the naked eye. I reckon I'm going to get a remote for the shutter control and see what I can get with a longer than 30 second shutter opening. Stars over derelict cottage, Rosslare, Ireland. by Philip Davies, on Flickr More locally, I went to a nearby town and tried some architecture photography at night. Here are some results: Church of St. John the Baptist, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. by Philip Davies, on Flickr Church of St. John the Baptist, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. by Philip Davies, on Flickr Finally, I managed to catch a woodpecker, outside my house, using my travel lens.. Woodpecker in the garden by Philip Davies, on Flickr All in all, I'm quite impressed with this lens. It was the first I bought, thinking it was all about zoom. It's not, I know that now but what you can do with it, I'm very pleased. I know it's not excellent at anything other than convenience, in which it excels, but it does seem to do a quite good job at everything.

My mother’s last car was one identical to this one. JSD 395N
I used to fit radios and had a few Marinas, Coupe’s Saloon’s and Estate’s as company cars. We used to customise them to increase sales with vinyl roofs, Union Flag roofs and alloy wheels etc. It seemed to do the job as they sold well. |

I took this a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd try some new edits with graduated filter to make the sky look a bit more dramatic.
On my laptop, the photo looks ok. On my phone, it looks dark and over saturated. The question is, which is displaying correctly, phone or laptop?! A lonely boat on the beach by Philip Davies, on Flickr
