There was a case recently of a man going to USA on holiday but before he went he was joking on a social network site that he was going to set fire to or blow up the white house or something similar, ok it was a joke in poor taste but when he landed in USA he was taken aside grilled about his visit and refused entry and whatever your opinion of that is the point is his posts were being monitored

You can encrypt texts and emails sent to phones and PCs if you have the right software. Hardly worth doing unless you need to hide something though.

It does seem the government are looking to bring this in. Labour muted it when in Power but there was an outcry from the Conservatives and Liberals, but now in power they like it. Strange that :
