Note to self:
Have I enough room in the Garden for a Spitfire?? Just before SKY kindly vanquished Discovery Wings in favour of "Turbo" there was a Documentary that stated that a Spit would cost you upto a Million Quid.................ahem........any lottery winners here? I cannot remember which particular plane it was now, but one of the many Spitfires we see on regular display was purchased for £300 in the 1950's !! The Old Flying Machine Company made regular appearances on Discovery Wings and it was always a fascinating watch, a shame that both Ray and Mark Hanna are no longer here to show off their beautiful Warbirds.
