Table booked everyone for 7.30pm.

I will set of early to arrive about 5pm for coffee as it will be mayhem on the by-pass.

No roadworks, just the usual Friday afternoon traffic.

This morning there were tailbacks on the Bypass stretching 5 miles, access prevented by police at Sheriffhall junction and delays of over one hour between Gilmerton junction and turn-off for M8. Two lorries broken down.

When I was taxiing we had a council contract, local lass with learning difficulties from Prestonpans to Stevenson College. Pickup time couldn't have been worse, 8am! Usual arrival time at the college was around 9:15, hour and a quarter to do 16 miles but the boss held the record, one morning he didn't arrive until 10 due to a breakdown.
