I realise that I just know we have a portable welder/ generator at work, of the size that would fit in a boot of a car.

Harry, it's a rubbish situation, I don't blame you for suspending your "service" there's nothing worse than having to chase people

Next time I'm in the scrappers, I'll see how many I can remove. The main problem being access, the 75s are piled 3 high in my local..
Well thanks for that, but one of my points was that it is not only unfair on me to not get them back, but it is wasted effort for those who have very kindly supplied replacements for those which have not been returned.

I originally thought to charge a £10 returnable depostit on their safe return, but dropped it in favour of trust.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Harry,

I have a modified unit outstanding. Unfortunately I do not have the tools or skills to tackle the change myself and await a time when a kind friend (a member on here, a real Gent) can do so for me. This is scheduled for next weekend. As and when it is carried out I shall return the exchanged part for refurb as per expectation. I apologise for the delay and hope you understand?

Well that accounts for one of the outstanding ones and thank you Sid.

Unfortunately I'll soon be a away for a couple of weeks, so would not be able to get it turned around and back out the door quickly.

I have enjoyed doing these, it is just that the sometimes long delays in their return, them sometimes failing to be returned and numbers waiting for them are conspiring to make it impossible to keep things working.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by the usual minority of selfish "grab what I can" brigade!

Thanks very much for the offer, but I'll put it on hold for the moment.

Hi Harry. So sorry that because of the selfish few, your kind service is having to be curtailed. I have not availed myself of your service, but have followed both your and Artic's compensator exchange service. I to would find it annoying, that i had put myself out, only tofind that some people, for there own reason's had not returned their compensator. But then again Harry, you find them in all walks of life.SO COME ON ALL YOU WHO HAVE NOT RETURNED YOUR COMPENSATOR TO HARRY. GET IT IN THE POST.NOW!!!

hi harry i have not had the pleasure of meeting you or using your fantastic service but i can sympathize with your frustration must be soul destroying when you are running a FREE service and folks can not put them selves out to get the compensator's back to you post haste.would it not be a better idea for members to send you a compensator to be moded so that you would not have all the hasstle of waiting for replacements.even a brand new compensator is only about £15.
