Quite a big job but there is a "How To" on the Installation. Total cost around the £1000 mark for CD £1200 for DVD £1400 16:9 screen version and about £2000 for the latest digital receiver and better Radio Unit (BM24 or BM54). If I confused you sorry, but im sure more help from Keith or others will be along soon. |

John - this is my interpretation of your info. Can you correct me if I'm wrong? 1. This is the head unit with TV display: 2. The head unit with TV display replaces my existing Harmony CD/Radio. 3. The head unit incorporates a cassette/radio. 4. My CD changer in the glovebox will hook up to the head unit. 5. So now I've got a CD/radio/cassette and a SatNav display screen. 6. I now need to buy a SatNav computer and hook it up to the head unit. 7. That gives me everything I had before plus a complete SatNav system. How much would I need to spend to get item 6 (the SatNav computer)? Where does the SatNav computer go - surely there's no room left in the dash for it? You're car may also need to go on T4 to enable hiline navigation via various ECU's and BUS's but I could be wrong. Nav computer, CD/DVD for nav comp along with TV tuner all mount in the boot space. |

Where is the Nav computer itself? What is CD/DVD drive for? What is the TV tuner for? |

A question of many parts. Sorry for delay to earlier Post (12) its only 9.30am now so have not been up too long.
Your item points 1 to 5 are correct. Simon makes correct suggestions of other parts needed. In answer to above: The TV tuner is to show to stations on your tv/Sat Nav screen, it is a required part of set up. The CD/DVD unit holds the Discs which gives all the maps and other info (fuel stations/Banks/Restaurants/Leisure Places etc. for UK & Europe. The DVD unit is a quicker unit with more facilities, but the CD unit will do the job fine. List of what you need: YIE100011PUY.............. Dispay Unit Navigational (Screen Head Unit) YIC100043................... Receiver - Television (Tuner Unit) YIB100031................... Computer -Navigational (CD Unit) YWY100240A................Receiver -Global Positioning System XUI100040A................. Antenna - Global Positioning System YWQ100031................. Interface unit Remote Control XUC1000771................. Isolator aerial And of course the wiring loom. Will post part no. when I find it. Various screws and Mounting Brackets, if not with units. If you require part numbers let me know. All parts come to well over £3200 through XPart so get off EBay & other sources. There is a Company that supply and install the whole thing for about £1200 they sometimes list on EBay. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 28th January 2007 at 14:07.. Reason: Part Nos Update. |
