Got their alloy wheels from there  Notice in the cack film xXx shot in Poland (I think) they had all sorts of MG Z'd in it. Does that count?

They did Keith. In truth I haven't seen that many but a couple of years back my 75 broke down in Poland within 15kms of an MG Rover dealership in a little town called Plock. How lucky was that!
Very helpful they were too and had to spend a few pleasant days whilst the sourced parts.
MGR sold a lot of cars here too. One dealer bought 60 new cars in 2002 and sold them all in no time at all.

I seem to remember that Project Drive removed quite a bit of sound deadening although I'm not sure if that applied to the ZT in some respects.

Anyway, has anyone tried to tackle this and had any success in reducing it without harming the soundtrack from the engine?

And at a slight tangent, now that many owners have models with a few miles on the clock, have there been any other NVH issues that have surfaced?
I think there was more of a boom problem with the 75 V8 during development and that's why the production cars have a centre silencer fitted, unlike the ZT/ZT-T 260.
