Ray's car is a 4D model year, in fact it's a Nonnoiseur in arguably the nicest standard Mk 2 colour of them all............

The only colour better, In my eyes, than Firefrost Red, is Nightfire Red. My 220sd was Nightfire Red, and very often when the sun was shining, I would come out of shops and be asked what colour it was because ‘ it is a lovely colour, and doesn’t it shine’. Did Rover do the 75 in Nightfire Red? I looked round for ages to find one to no avail.

Dead easy Pete, because you end up with VIN and ZCS coding mismatches, unable to configure the car correctly, end up in the case of automatics being able to start in gear, cruise control and traction control issues, apart from the possibility the ECM originated from a 116PS variant........just what you want a 116 downgrade

Add to this if a car has memory seats, or a different amount of airbags, a saloon as opposed to a tourer and the list goes on.

Not an issue for the OP however, as he should be all up and running now

Brian
