This sort of problem needs close inspection.--Very difficult to analyse at long range.
No what I meant is I have been driving it and constantly checking but that small pool of water doesn’t appear to change

Rob, you've asked for a diagnosis. Please check your straight pipe clips with reference to my post no. 6 and report back. If they have moved, that will cause the coolant pooling which you have seen at the base of the thermostat housing.

I would say the Herbie clip is in contact with the thermostat housing as pictured.

Rob, are you saying the housing is leaking at the seam where the two halves of the housing are welded together?

Brian
Sorry Brian I don’t know where the leak is coming from and only posted to see if anyone could help on what to order if it looked like one thing or another

I know where the leak is coming from Rob. It's coming from the 'O' ring at the base of the thermostat housing and probably also from the 'O' ring at the connection in your photograph.

You need to order a set of four CDU 3858 'O' rings and after fitting them those clips on the straight pipe must both be slid fully outwards and tightened so that there is no gap between them and the thermostat and the water pump housings.

Please also take note of my earlier two posts. I hope that the solution is now clear but please ask if I can be of any further help.
