Living right down on the Sussex Coast, I 'was wondering, if there should be limited reworking of the local clubs areas, because even Sevenoaks, is a good hour away, and probably distance wise on a par with Brighton, ok theres nothing to stop members joining other groups etc, as some of the South east, often go to Frimley, but when it comes to organising meets etc, how many think, its not my local area, but possibly could be nearer to your location, and don't even notice it,

Hi Martin,
Any thoughts about club area boundaries would be better addressed to the owners, either via the moderators, or direct. However, as you've observed, members are most certainly not restricted to within their own regional sections, indeed one joins the club, not your local region. Regarding meetings, my understanding is:- provided that the Club's Disclaimer (copy and paste from nearly any other event) is included, then any member can arrange a venue / meeting, and see how it flies. I know this one didn't take off, but I did have a venue in Crawley in mind. Unfortunately I was told that we would have been very disappointed, had we gone ahead with it. Subsequent on-line comments confirmed this. Should this venue improve in the future, then that would be relatively closer for yourself. Regards Mike

Something close to Chichester eg Brighton/Crawley would work for me.

Thanks Pat for your survey response, and we look forward to meeting you.
The next event that we have in the South East is 3 weeks today, on Sunday Sept. 11th; the Edenbridge Show. Probably 35 odd miles, with out checking, from Rochester. You would obviously be more than welcome, either as a visitor on the day, or as an exhibitor (if that's your thing) for the whole day. Full details are on the South East section of the club's website. Failing that there will almost certainly be a breakfast meet 2 to 3 weeks later; similar distance. We are still a small group, but slowly expanding, if you care to read the posts (in South East, under Events & Meets) over the last few years, you will get the picture. Regards Mike

Myself and Paulette will be going to Edenbridge show. I not booked for the show yet, as I see there's a few cars meeting in a lay-by on route to the show, hopefully meet up there ? |

I live in Littlehampton, and as a self employed entertainer have some very unusual work hours, I am also a carer so that makes things really strange for me.
I have been known to travel great distances just to go to car shows. As long as I have enough diesel I can go pretty much anywhere lol, but do not usually get up very early due to working in the evenings at weekends. I am very much between Brighton and Chichester. |

Hi,
I'm a relative newbie having purchased my April 2001 75 Connie saloon in white gold. Not sure if there are any meets being planned as it looks like this post has gone a bit quiet but for the record just in case: 1) Clymping is near Littlehampton 2a) 30 miles 2b) 100 miles 3) None I can think of currently 4) Both 5) Lunchtime or evening 6) Could be regular |

Good Morning Llyndwr & Clymping Connie.
My apologies for not responding to Llyndwr, last December; caused by me being in hospital from the end of November to mid January (not on Line) In short, we are most certainly trying to re-establish the South East, with respect to a social element. Unfortunately this has recently been hampered somewhat by medical issues, on my part. Indeed i'm waiting to go back into hospital, for rehab, which should be finished by the end of June, at the latest. For background info. you can read through the South East's history on the "Regional Events Forum - South East" Also, in the "75 & ZT Owners Club General Forum" I am updating under Brg75, dated 19th January 2023. Look forward to meeting both of you, plus others, later this year. Venue etc. to follow. Cheers Mike
