The alcohol based hand sanitising gels work a treat. I had a couple of spots and the gel had it away in a few seconds.

Cheers

I'm sure I'll get told off for using it, but in previous years I have used petrol to remove the tar, then washed with water to remove the petrol off the paintwork.

you wont be disappointed, just a note thogh, once applied leave it for as long as you can before beginning rubbing, you will see it dissolving the crud and its kinda nice to see it simply running down your wings.

also great for removing those pesky car park paint transfers/rubber bumper markings.

I got hold of some stuff called "Tarminator" a few years back. Absolutely amazing stuff but I haven't seen it around for a while.

Lot of the stuff on flea bay sold as Autosmart has been found to not be or is watered down stuff.

Tardis cannot be sold and sent through the post in anything other than its proper metal container, strong stuff.

Phone your local autosmart rep for any autosmart products but be warned once you walk in the back of there wagon you may come away with more than you intended...

There are other products out there, Valet pro citrus tar and glue remover, Maxolen sticky stuff many others.

The Citrus is certainly better smelling may take a bit more elbow grease but safe stuff.

Petrol white spirit etc could be used however you then need to remove there residue also.
