Don't you just love Micro$oft?
"This update is not compatible with a 64 bit operating system" Oddly enough, I never saw that mentioned on the download page. No sign of a 64-bit update anywhere either. If you read some of the blogs and fora regarding SP1 Carl you'd wonder how Micro$oft would cope if they were selling cars, or joints of beef.
It appears that they have a special department whose sole aim is to make everything the consumer tries to do as difficult and as expensive as possible. |

Paul - SP1 should go straight in. It takes ages though with several restarts & green 'wait' screens. Allow a good hour or so.
No use if you're on 64bit though (not sure if you are or not). |
