Just done the final touch and modified the wiring cover mounting bracket.

I cut it just in front of the screw locator, so I could push it up underneath the headlining.

I am very pleased with it and I think it blends in well, without any visible wires.

Best example I have seen yet - glad you posted the info Bob - I want an unobtrusive one - and cannot abide wires hanging about.

I will definitely be copying your example Bob.

Thanks Clive. I will be at the Sammy Miller meet if you want to have a look at the installation.
That is if you haven't already got one by then.

Default Crash Cam

A very neat job there, as neat as I have seen so far. for anyone looking for
a possibly even less noticeable installation have a look at the 'Modius 420G'
camera which has a detachable lens!

Been gradually working my way up the Car camera's price scales , using my amazon prime 1 month membership .

All the others worked ok , but the quality isn't quite there.

My 3rd cam should be here today , similar to Wullies, a GW1-c , but this might be next on the list , it is on the pricing scale .

Just looked at one the downloadable MOV files ,,, very very clear !! best I've seen so far !.

Will be @ Sammy's too.

Chris

Nice job you have made there Bob, noticed you ditched the ciggie adapter socket.

I have a next Base 302 deluxe and it has the 12v socket adapter, however the instructions say 'Do not use any other power source' other than the adapter supplied...as i would like to wire the Next Base unit to say the fusebox.

Has anyone else ditched the 12v plug supplied with these units and wired them up to a permanent supply ?

I am sure that a 12v to 5v power adapter would do the job with the correct USB. I am not sure if the Nextbase use a micro or mini usb.

Anyway, Nextbase do their own hardwire kit like this one here as an alternative to a cigarette lighter adapter.

Have ordered a hard wired kit.

Thanks.
