As to Branson I wouldn't believe him if he told me what the day of the week it was

Hmmm I've been getting emails from Virgin Media since August telling me my area will be getting a free broadband speed upgrade from 50Mbs to 70mbs this Autumn.
Then the postman delivered a letter this morning saying my Virgin media bill will be going up £3.47 a month from January

Noses deep in the private sector trough while gorging in the public sector - pure greed, no doubt all declared so that it all seems "above board" but clearly some conflicts of interest at work.
On a related subject, alleged (though no doubt soon to be proven) further corruption in the world of athletics was in the news yesterday.
Makes all the senior figures and media finger pointing at genuine athletes for alleged "doping" look like a key deception strategy while the powers-that-be stash their dodgy millions.
Rule no.1 of magicians and dodgy politicians and the like: Mis-direction - "oh look over there!" while I endeavour further slight of hand ....

Interesting that today's Autumn Statement Did NOT hit any of your target spenders!

Its unfortunate that if you have worked anywhere or have made progress in your life, someone somewhere will resent it or whip you for it.

I would not have an MP's job (any party) for all the tea in china!!!!

They should scrap HS2 and put money into reopening closed commuter lines with free parking. Ernest Marples and Baroness Castle have a lot to answer for the state of this countries transport infrastructure

I'd have both if it were upto me. Anyway, I was doing a bit of reading on this, I think they closed them because no-one used them and motoring was taking off in a big way. Anyway it wasn't the best idea looking back but none of us are perfect.

Angry To be fair

Come now gents....

To be fair our poor MPs are only getting an 11% pay rise this year! They have to make up their terrible salaries from private industry when the opportunity arises don't they....

Arggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh

11% percent....check your payrise ( after deducting the increase in national insurance contribution many of us are getting in April.)

Sorry, but as you said in first post....this really gets my goat!

All of them - so not a politically motivated view!

They really have no idea of reality.

In order to prove that the NHS is safe in their hands, he has given them an extra £6 billion this year (well actually it's not extra, they are only getting it a bit earlier than already promised) but they have to make £22 billion savings (isn't that a £16 billion CUT)?
And of course the nurses have got to work longer hours, and pay for their own training.
Oh well, at least we now know not to be ill in the near future.

All those scumbags in your link can rot in hell.

I will be leaving the NHS when it is privatised.
