If I remember correctly, there is a small additional bracket in the middle at the top for the diesel - only spot welded on so can be easily removed. Otherwise I'm 99% certain they are the same

You could get a decent 2nd hand one, get it blasted and powder coated or painted.

I have one from a pre face lift diesel. I am 20 minutes "north west" of Lincoln. Free of charge, all I ask that you make a donation to the Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes. PM me if interested.
FWIW one of our bikers did about 800 miles providing a free service to the NHS over the weekend and as a group, we did 2,500 miles, none of us are paid.

Thanks mcafee pm sent. Thats interesting about what you do and yes happy to donate. Interestingly shortly after finding a need for a replacement slam panel last week one of those blood bikes went past, i thought it was the cops as similar livery but with BLOOD in big bold font. Is that you?

FWIW one of our team did 800 miles last weekend and as a team we did 2,500 miles. Think how much that saves the NHS.

The work you do is impressive and life saving but given we live in like the 4th 5th? richest economy in the world it disgusts me that our Govt abuse our goodwill and run the NHS among others on charity in many areas at the same time they line there own pockets with covid ppe scam billions of ££ stolen ( and expenses scandals etc). Air ambulance is another example funded by charity mainly i think and for one of the worlds top economy's it leaves me troubled that such essential services are handled in this way.

I have been slave wage carer for 5 years, the govt will not pay me properly to care i live in poverty but they will pay a local authority or private agency top whack money to take over what i was doing and whilst they get paid more they do much less as they are there for earning money not delivering care in many cases. I dont like it, im not a subject of the govt to be abused like that. I dont know if this causes you to reconsider the offer or not tbh but the way these ruling class scumbags are abusing us all causes me to great anguish. I am ready to eat the prime minister tbh.
