Works really well on silver cars and is quick to put on too. I've got some Collinite for the winter, putting it on next weekend. Not such a nice finish on lighter cars but is really durable.

I use Frost Blitz Wax. It's a hard Caranuba Wax so you need to polish first with something that has a bit of cut in it. Frost's Omega Glaze is good followed by 2 coats of Blitz Wax working a panel at a time. It takes all day to do the car but it lasts really well - I last waxed my car in April.

Since then all I've done is wash with Triplewax Car shampoo and dry with Demon Shine Spray and Microfibre waffle towel; the car comes up like new.

Since I discovered microfibre I realise how much damage my old chamois leather was doing. Wouldn't use anything else now.

Like Fred says, www.cleanyourcar.co.uk is an excellent site. Lots of valeting advice on their forum & lots of good products for sale.

They have a special on a massive microfibre waffle towel for £9.99 at the mo. Halfrauds will charge you that for one a quarter of the size. It's brilliant, I bought 2.

Im very friendly with a local Car Detailer (my younger brother ) and at the start of October after machine polishing my ZTT we waxed it with some Swisswax Best of Show .To supplement that i give the car a monthly top up with Zaino Z8.

With all the recent rain / ice / salt / mud on the roads after a wash the car looks as good as when it was polished with the water beading / sheeting well.

I do not plan or expect to wax the car till the spring

Given how much BoS costs (£135ish per tub, for the uninitiated) I'd ****** well hope for some longevity!

I'm just jealous

Is there a writeup of the detail knocking around anywhere?

Im afraid not , but when i / we give the car a good going over in the spring im sure i could knock something up with some piccies

From what i can remember the Zt was snowfoamed , washed , rinsed and then clayed with Sonus green .Paintwork was corrected with menzerna and then the paint was glazed with Poorboys Black Hole before applying the BOS.

All the exterior black trim / rubber was treated with Gtechniq C4 trim restorer (fantastic product) and lastly the wheels were sealed with 2 coats of Poorboys Wheel Sealant before the tyres were Zaino Z16'd

HTH
