Certainly the case with my garage..sort of....as I supplied the backplates and handbrake shoes there is a note on the invoice stating no guarantee.....which I think is fair enough.

I can say first hand that Rear Brake Backplates are one of those jobs that can turn into an absolute nightmare!

Definitely. I have learned that before the job is started a spare set of retaining pins and springs, the 4 Allen bolts for the back plate and the caliper bolts need to be on hand. You are kind of committed once started.
