I have sent him this message :

These finishers are not the original MGRover items but remanufactured items that were commissioned by members of the 75 & ZT Owners Club. I know that you would like to make a profit but to pice them at FOUR times their original value is just plain greedy. Also one of the provisions of purchasing these was to offer them for sale in the club first.

That see if i get a reply.

When they were in early production and more rare,£175.00 was easily achieved on eBay.

IIRC a couple of years ago an unused set reached £186.00.

I just made an offer of £30.00 with the folowing message: I'm sorry to say, but "wake up - your coffee is cold"...

This is £5.00 less than I can get them elsewhere, (taking exorbitant postage into consideration) so a fair offer.

Says he is no longer a member and having a clearout, then says he has sold a set before for the same money, so definitely not a gentleman imo

Its supply and demand rules i suppose and they are worth what someone is willing to pay for them but they will hopefully not reach anywhere near what the seller expects

Me
dont you remember the gentlemans agreement you made when you bought these, not to be sold on for profit.

Seller
Hi
Yes but I sold my 75 at a massive lost, Am getting something back, was not in a situation to keep the 75 anymore, High petrol prices and road tax
Got 600 quid for my 75 and I am going to get something back

Me
disgracefull

Seller
If you say sooooo
50 quid for a used set?
Sold a set of these for 200 quid before on here, Now who is laughing

me
people actions like this is why crofts or I will think twice next time

Seller
You try and sell your 75?
I got 600 quid for mine
50 quid is the price of a used set of these
Have sold a set on here before for 200 quid

Me
£48.50 is actually the price of a new set not £50 for a used set

I have just offered him a £1, plus I notice that postage has been reduced to £4. Still over the top for first class delivery for such a small item.

By making that offer, when he finally sells them all offers are published and I will see the final selling price.

I cannot stand those who aim to profit from other people's hard work. He should have returned them to croft for the original price so that another member could have them. That is what this club should be about. He didn't put the effort in, so why should he profit.
