Not a very common request then Dave?!
Six months I had to explain it on the phone to a chap who didn't have the interweb . Never again! Don't forget chaps there's 2 types of PWM PCB 's so if your high speed and low speed are working the wrong way round the 2 thick cables on the OUTPUT side of the large and small middle relays simply need to be swapped over.

Hi managed to swap the 2 speed motor into my 3 speed cdti cowling with a new gold resistor fitted, had to swap the negatives round as the fast speed was kicking in first, and other than seized fan motor bolts it went fairly well, that is until i shut the bonnet and now it wont open!!!! I think i must have dislodged one of the cables, can anyone shed any light on opening the bonnet?
Just like to thank everyone who offered advice and assistance as it helped massively. Just to add if anyone is intending swapping the fan then make sure your soldering iron is up the task as the wires are fairly thick and sap the heat away. |

The technique of opening a bonnet when stuck or other members input on the opening of such are not spoke about on the open forum. Perhaps pm a moderator for assistance with the task..
