That's correct. They stopped doing used gear a few months ago.

Digital camera's
Hi sworks,
I have only be using a digital camera for 6 month's or so and was used to 35mm film using the Pentax range of kit. I wanted to try digital but not spend too much on my first foray into digital. I went to Jessops after searching the net and ended up buying the Pentax ist DL2 at just over £240. My budget was to not exceed £250 for my 1st buy. The camera has performed just perfectly for my novice skills etc and would say give it a look at on the net along with ithe Pentax newer models. However I would recommend them - why? Well a few reasons... - because they are a bit like our 75s - generally much better spec'd than similarly priced models from the likes of Canon or Nikon (e.g. you get spot metering - you'd have to buy a Canon 30D to get that), - the Olympus 4/3rds system is a complete ground up design for digital - you can get loads of adapters for other makes of lenses, from old M42 screw to Hassleblad! Anyway, one thing I would say is to try out a few cameras - we did and I still can't get on with Nikons (just as I couldn't with film ones), and I found the cheap Canons like the 350D, err , felt cheap. We bought our first Oly DSLR from Currys of all places - they we're doing a twin lens kit for a bargain price. The second came from Digital Depot, who I'd very highly recommend (I've been buying memory from them for years).

Don't forget there is also a £50.00 rebate from Canon on the 400D if you apply before the end of August.
http://canonlensacc2007.onlinerebates.com/details.aspx This offer has ended end of June by the looks of it

Hi,
If you don't mind secondhand then you cannot go far wrong with any of the following Canon digital SLR's - D60, 10D or 20D. They are well built and have a much better feel than the 350 or 400D. Don't be fooled by the manufacturers need to increase the megapixel capacity every week! It is much better to get a camera with superior electronics and operating speed, ask any of the professionals that still use a Canon 1D which has 'only' 4.2 megapixels. David |

It has all the SLR features, even feels like one to hold, with complete control over ISO, shutter speed and F-stop, and auto mode if I am feeling lazy. The 2Gb SD card has plenty of space unless you want raw format files. I know the FZ30 was slated for noise on the limit and may not be to the standard of the professional cameras, but for an amateur like me that travels a lot and wanted some manual control, with a decent lens and a reasonably compact body, I think it is well worth it as Jontie suggests. I believe that Panasonic have also brought out a DSLR now. |

They have, and Leica have also brought out an almost identical one too. Both are very close cousins (and share many components with) to the much cheaper Olympus E-330 LiveView DSLR.
