I love the simplicity and how well the colours blend. Beautiful photo

Don't ask lol!!
We ended up most of the evening with projected images of peeps photos taken on smart phones ! They tried to fit too much in to one evening and by the time that had all finished the macro workshop never really got off the ground ......again I think I'm going to pester you and Alan for advice and just try it for myself

I just posted some on the macro thread but boy was it hard to nail focus, the slightest movement from me or the wind would lose focus. Me thinks my tripod will be needed a lot more to get the sort of results you are getting

Take lots Jeff. As you say, your breathing or the slightest wind will put the thing out of focus.
I have been using continuous autofocus and burst mode for flowers. Also get a little further away and crop can help with depth of field. |

Are you handholding or mounting the camera in the main? I also just read a tip about getting a small stake/stick and a clothes peg to secure a plant stem whilst photographing it, seems sensible

Mostly I am insect hunting so I go out hand holding. If I see a flower or berry I'll take quite a few shots hand holding and hope one nails it. Good idea with a peg, I sometimes try to steady a flower with things to hand.
If I was indoors and had static subject then I would go tripod, set up good lighting, slower shutter etc. Many people have heard me screaming ******** wind as I creep around the bushes. Lol Watermarks can be added by Lightroom on export (text or graphic) and copyright added to metadata on import. It is pretty simple and anyone wishing to find out more can do a quick Google.
