Well, than't not the case with me - V8 would cost me 13,000 euros+ and making R75 coupe 4,000 euros for donor car + time & pleasure doing it.

My friend will not charge me anything, he also said if we manage to make it really good, he would make one for himself

Well at those costs would be daft not to give it a try.

May i also add to this post that one year on of ownership, i can confrim we the family have enjoyed the car and may it continue. I have done some up grades to the v8 making the car more luxurious than before. As they say in McDonalds am loving it.

Mine reliably empties my wallet for a gallon or ten of fuel a week - would I change it - no way!!!!

I see there is a V8 on ebay going for almost 10k with 23 miles on the clock in black. The ad implies the engine was water damaged..replaced?

Original engine was flood damaged and the car was written off as a Category C. Car then sold on Copart for circa £3500. It has been for sale on Ebay for a long while. The car itself has done 62k.

If you look around they are advertising on a couple of other sites as well.

The car I now have continues to give me many problems, so I have been thinking about changing it, but as I am going out of the country for 2 months, I will leave it until next years. Of course it would have to be another 75 in one guise or another
