Well done......I take it you didn't take the seats out then....?
How did you get across to the centre console, or did you go up and arond the dash?

I Found with mine i needed to approach it from the centyre console as the harness was not long enough to go down the drivers side and across. This is why i removed both of the seats.

Hi Line sat nav loom
Amazingly it worked first time.. Radio working ok. but not very good signal strength.
Went to petrol station to try out sat nav. Wow!! worked perfectly, arrow moved along screen just as should.. Just a few things left to do.. Connect up Mp3 cd changer. Secure changer in the boot. Check for radio signal strength. Re-fit carpet trim. More to follow.. Dave T |

The loom was just long enough, helped a bit by the Parrot kit that had the effect of extending the ISO connections.. Dave T |

Hi Dave,
Well Done!!! Quite a daunting project and not oneI would have the courage to take on!! Once you've got it all fixed up and put back together, you can take it apart to upgrade to 16:9 widescreen.. Well worth it IMHO!! Happy New Year !! Regards

Congratiolations David by starting this year with your high line satnav. Must feel good! Nice pictures and very recognizable. I wonder if you had installed the K-bus interface yet.
Now about those fog lamps...... Regards Ralph |

Hi Line Sat Nav
Hi Ralph..
Just a question about the K Bus interface.. Is it the white box shown in Keiths picture just above the board monitor? I thought this was the steering wheel control unit interface. Possibly the same thing? .. Fog lamps will be posted tommorow.. Thanks Dave T |

Superb job Dave, missed the thread as I was away. Don't know how many members would tackle a job that size ( even less would report a 1st time success I suspect)
You should be a very proud owner.

Hi Line sat nav loom
Just an update..
Finally connected the Alpine 6 disc MP3 changer in the boot. When the Symphony radio was fitted the changer was connected via the blue mini ISO and a "Incartec" interface unit. I cut the plug off and connected the interface unit to the original changer lead that came sat nav loom. Changer now working fine.. Also. The steering wheel controls did not work correctly, that is, the volume only went up and the mode sw. did not work. I was suprised that all I had to do was change around the blue/orange and the blue/purple wires that go to the steering wheel. Now the steering wheel controls work correctly. Dave T |
