Just in case you have not seen the models available.

Copied from previous thread.

I'd hate to see your Post Office van become standard issue Bob! Most posties I've seen seem to find the Postman Pat van a challenge!

These are great Bob
Some weird and wonderful creations you've done there!

Just been looking at the MG Express on K&Rs website and found out they do an MGF! It's on my wish list but, I'll have to do the Metro van first

Here's the sort of thing I do.
First pics are of two recently restored Corgi Minis. The plain one is awaiting decals like the other. They are replicas of a very rare Corgi Mini called the 'Pop Art Mini' of which an original can fetch up to £1000 at auctions.
I've used the correct casting, drilled the cast headlights out and fitted jewels, (as per the original models), fitted the correct wheels and tyres and replaced any broken parts as required. One will be for sale as a replica, obviously not trying to pass them off as the real thing!

Hope you like

This is how the plain one looked when I got it

This is an original one

A true collector will know if a model is a replica by smelling the paintwork. But they are looking good.

I'm really enjoying this thread, as I enjoy collecting old toys and models. Some very interesting conversions!

Nice recreation of the Mini Mostest. I have an original one, although it has some playwear. I don't mind a bit of play wear on old toys, and it does show that the item has been enjoyed by a previous owner. The tatty Imp is also a pretty rare version.
