I tested it today with my late facelift diesel and a KKL type cable (I also use to connect to my FIAT).

As has been said some scary options you could play with if not wary. Probably needs an "expert" setting section lockout to delve into these areas.

Connected to some modules - engine, lsm and JATCO, otherwise no dice.

Whilst poseidon was laid up me and another member tried it on the car. Police lights are ok but we couldn't switch them off without a reset. We've changed the hazard light flash which is cool and a few other things. Tan some tests and cleared most of the underlying faults stored on the car. We both agreed it needs some bugs fixing but on the whole we are quite pleased.

I'm pretty sure that's because the cable You have don't have bridged 7&8 pin.

Thank you Piotr. Thought it might be the case. Cheap enough to get another cable. Is a cable with FTDI chip the best option? Good to see it working anyway. Good luck to you on this.

It would appear that the KWP2000 protocol is not working as its unable to connect to the 1.8 Mems3 ecu's or the AutoLiv SRS ecu.

Brian , the link for the cable, does it need the pins bridged ? And how exactly do you bridge them?

bridge = connect

pin 8 with 7 as you can see little yellow wire (cable)

That's why my Delphi 150 asks if the return pin is 7 or 8 or bridged.

Vanbursta, did the lead that you purchased actually work without any modification? I'm still a bit confused about which one I need to buy without modifying it... Not hard to confuse me mind you.

I don't know, I haven't got it yet. It should be here by the 02 May so I will post once I know for sure. It was initially recommended by one of the TOAF guys to somebody else so it should be OK, if the worse comes to the worse it's an easy enough job to solder pins 7 and 8 together.
