Is it the sellers fault that the units goes for that cost or is it the buyers that are willing to pay that price without asking there ex rover dealers about cost's and part availability.

I know sometimes i have paid for items that are shop price or maybe a bit dearer but when i am stuck at work for 12hr days i don't have time to nip out and shop about so sometimes it's worth the extra pound or two on EBay.

All we can do is make the club bigger and better so we can reach a wider audience and make them aware of parts and true cost's

When in my local ex dealer last week, I asked about the price of these. They told me Rover don't do them in this country, spill hazard on the drivers side and all that. I told them they are available through Rimmers, but they just said they can't get them. So maybe some people think that they are rare, and then pay through the nose on ebay.

They was fitted as standard in the UK in the early years (don't know dates) Rover stopped doing them as they had to many warranty claims on them where drivers caught them while driving, but they still fitted them to auto cars.

for anyone wanting one

Part number FJI 100140ANV is still available from rimmers for £29 and Premier Motors (Romford) Ltd which is a Xpart outlet has stock.
