The car will run fine on just the UBP as long as you have enough diesel in the tank, so if they suspect a failed ITP they just need to add some diesel - 10 litres should do it. |

In his first post he said the garage in France had changed the in tank pump. And yet the garage here says it is the in tank pump that is the problem

He may have 2 faults.
As I understand it, the ITP failure often only becomes apparent, after another fault has appeared. The French garage may have refitted the original pump. So it's possible the UK garage still hasn't found the real fault, just A fault. And the UK garage may not have a T4 still. So they're in the dark. T4 or TOAF is the logical way forward. But please don't scrap the car. It can be sorted with the expertise here. Last edited by MarkS; 11th April 2022 at 19:47.. |

Quote They changed the in tank fuel pump but the issue continues. It did start for a while but then conked out. I believe that when these sensors cool down there is the possibility of the engine starting. Un quote It seems they changed the In tank pump

#1 :
"They changed the in tank fuel pump..." #10 : "Now they "think" it is the in-tank pump. I have asked them to give me a price (should hear today 21st March) but balancing it on the price they charged for the under bonnet pump replacement, it will be extortionate. It seems to be a guessing game..." Something doesn't make sense. Last edited by MarkS; 13th April 2022 at 18:07.. Reason: Underscoring |
