I've spent the day restoring my Xenon's ready to go on the car. It is such a satisfying job, they look like new. Lots of sanding, plenty of polishing. And sealed with some UV protector.

Just need to whip one of the lenses off for a quick wipe underneath and check over. Fit new bulbs and then fit them to the car.

Killed some wildlife (spiders) that decided to take a disliking to the Mrs

Cleaned out the drain plugs and slam panel of six months of tree bits and leaves, painted in the key marks ready for sanding the clear coat and compounding back to rude health

Yesterday went (from Essex) to Bristol and back to collect some leather seats that I had bought for my 45. Round trip 345 miles, 38.2 mpg so not too bad (1.8t).

Eventually got round to polishing and waxing my car (been planned from last year ), Pretty much satisfied with the result despite the fact my polisher broke just before I finished first stage and the rest was done by hand.
It was very misty at Souter Lighthouse, marinabrian, to take pictures

Today I put my (hopefully) repaired front bumper which will be a lot more secure when the screws and clips turn up from Mat. Only the top 9 bolts, the two upward facing screws and one self tapper was holding the whole lot on!
Felt so inspired that I changed the PCV filter and the air filter which was filthy. I also cleaned the interior using Autoglym interior shampoo. I hadn't realised how dirty it was until I cleaned one of the door trims. Seats next.
Then it will be oil/filter and fuel filter so I know it has all been done. I was hoping to have replacement front and rear bumpers before POL but that looks unlikely now.
