She said after all of that, I would be cured and would not need to take tablets anymore. It was tempting I have to say, that it is business getting your friend and family in Nairobi to donate the blood needed and to store it etc because of the risks of AIDS and HIV, but then decided to wait for the NHS to sort me out, as and when
We've had over 2 years of the coeliac problem Phil, and whilst we haven't totally cracked it, I think we are now quite knowledgeable. We still go astray at times, not helped by manufacturers' packaging - some specify that gluten is included, some say it is produced in a factory that handles gluten - and some say nowt and leave you to work it out yourself from the basic list of ingredients.
The acid reflux is a different kettle of fish (no pun intended) - there seems to be all sorts of varying opinion as to what you should and shouldn't eat; next stage now I feel is to talk to a dietician and see what they suggest - when daughter and I tried to come up with a list of "OK to eat" as against "DO NOT EAT!" - there was very little of any substance in the "OK to eat" list

You treated yourself to a lay-in and why not. It is good for the soul to catch the sun and the blue. All is well here Freddie. It has been 28C today, the sun is just going down and am feeling chilled.

Rod as you know mrs w44nty is a coeliac, she joined coeliac uk,you get a small pocket size booklet with all the food that can be eaten and its listed by supermarket ,shop etc.

The problem lies with home, everything she eats must be in a wheatfree zone so that her food is not contaminated by what I have, bread is the worse, she has her own bread which is supplied on prescription and I have normal bread so a crumb from mine must not find its way into her food.

Its so difficult regarding what she can have or not.

If anyone has a foolproof diet sheet which is suitable for someone who

  • has a hiatus hernia
  • suffers from acid reflux
..... I'd love to hear from you
Sorry to hear that the Mrs has been unwell Rod

This wont apply to you Steve, as you need something without all of that
And all those years ago we used to laugh at the smash adverts,"i'll be home in a minute dear"she used to say on her camera tv phone.

Technology has been frightening over the last 30 years,it is and no pun intended,is "Out of this world",who visited and taught us such knowledge,to come this far in 30 years after all the time before us since evolution and nothing was there,I just wonder sometimes

Good afternoon Derek, I hope that Lilian and yourself are both well, that your check-up was clear.

Steve, I do wonder myself about 'the truth being out there' given the latest news from the expedition to Mars.

Hello Moxy, how are things going? Did the washer tank caps from the Rover 25 fit?
