It's always sad when someone passes Phil, but more so when it's a child.. My heart goes out to her family for their sad loss and the community, who I am sure will be equally affected

I lost a great niece at 8 days, so I have some idea of the pain of losing someone so young - RIP Kissia

Poor little girl, what a way live her life, she never asked to come into this world, but when she came she had a terrible disability, she must have put up a brave fight and kept a smile and made people happy, what a tragic end for this young girl,I am sure she will have left many people with some lovely memories.

Sleep peacefully Kissia, you were loved by so many,God will now look after you and make you better.

My thoughts are with her family

Soon I'll find repose

And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Kissia has had a tough break from day one. Her family have been ravaged by AIDS, crime and alcoholism. Her mum often spent night outs drinking and getting into fights, leaving the other children to fend for themselves. Last night she was here and thankfully Kissia was not alone. Dad has not been around at all. When her mum and her sister came to collect Kissia this afternoon in a people carrier, they wanted to put her into the boot, but her elder brother said no. A young lad aged 13 who honoured her with the respect and dignity she deserved. Everyone was composed and they left to travel up to the family plot, 3 and half hours drive north of Nairobi.

Beautiful words and sentiments Steve which brought me to tears when I read them. I will pass them on to Kissia in my prayers and thoughts. I have felt empty all day long. It is comforting to know she is at rest and in heaven, god bless her.
She used to wait for me at the entrance to the house to climb up, pull back the bolts and open the gate for me to drive through. It gave her much joy to do this - you could see it her eyes and smiles. I just wanted to say these few things to remember her. Thank you for your kindness.
