I personally think that it has landed on a disused airstrip somewhere.

What a lift it would give to a troubled world if this story turned out to have a happy ending.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a picture of it on the moon yet!
(No doubt the Photoshop lads will come up with one now!) Chad.

One things for sure there will probably be changes to all aircraft in future to make sure the tracking systems cannot be turned off , seems unbelievable in this day and age that all contact can just be lost like this, terrible for the families who are now given some hope, but maybe false, if it has landed somewhere

Now it's being reported it could be anywhere from Turkmenistan to Indonesia
Personally I think it's one the pilots gone 'wibble' |

Saw one of the Sunday paper headlines today - apparently someone from the Home Office has been quoted that this may be Cyber Hijack where control has been activated through a mobile phone or a similar device

If it has landed at some remote outpost surely satellite's would be capable of spotting it.It's unlikely that anywhere other than a large modern airport would have hangers capable of housing it

Next Saturday night I am flying to London on BA. They use the 777-200 for the route of 9 hrs. Security is tight in Nairobi, with the passengers and crew having to be scanned 4 times, plus the cabin bags are checked by hand 4 times prior to boarding. Kidnappings and terrorism is a problem in KE, but people still have to fly. No doubt the Malaysian authorities will be having a forensic examination of the aircrews private lives in order to exclude them from the investigations. |
