I've always wondered what the deal is in motor factors.
Presumably trade get things cheaper if they have an account? Sometime I get charged a lot, and other times less (seemingly) and I'm unsure of what to say when going in there... does it have anything to do with me looking clean/naive or dishevelled/streetwise?

I just been going to them for years so I know all the counter staff.

I have not seen any general public turned down, they are glad of the business.
No account needed but the more you buy from them the bigger the discounts.

Even with no discount they are still cheaper by 40% compared to Halfrauds.
