i find my 75 likes speed very well it handled the autobahn very well , fair to say a ZT would handle bends better but just cruising either can do it but the mg is more sporty while the 75 is more of a cruiser

Hi Duotone. nah not all the time.. heh heh, but I did give it a serious dose of testing when I had the remap innit.. Fortunately I have a nice stretch of (5 miles) Mway nearby, that is very quiet at off peak times, it also has a nice long hill on it leading to a big roundabout, and that does allow me to mess a bit..

Hi MisterTomez..

>>>I somehow doubt that a diesel auto will do towards 140mph<<<

You're quite right, it wont.. max usable revs on a diesel are approx 4.500 that equates to around the 120 mph mark. .Downhill with a following wind it may do more, but that would take the revs into the dreaded Red zone innit!! And-- bearing in mind the cars speedo 10% over-read, at 140 it would still only be doing 126 mph innit..

Even at 124 (GPS) it's still <4k RPM.

According to this thread and what you said in it the diesel auto 75 is geared to be 30mph per 1000rpm, which means 4,500rpm would give a possible top speed of 135mph. Hence my doubts when you say it'll go to maximum revs in any gear...

75vsZT for me I like the look of the MK1 ZT but I like the interior of the 75.So I being doing a hybrid with mine all ZT on the outside and a mix of Zt/75 on the inside.Check out my gallery and you will see.As for road manners would totally agree with Rotex..75 for nicer for every day driving but the ZT is a blast in the twisty stuff.
I like pipe and slippers with a big medallion and hairy chest poking out of the smoking jacket sort of look
But as for build quality I find them both the same.
