Morning all,
late friday night I ordered a service kit and drop links from DMGRS. These were delivered Tuesday morning, a very quick service! Yesterday I polished my headlights with a 3M Polishing Kit, and I'm pleased to say it has made a significant improvement. Today I just need to wash the car, a very well deserved wash too. Hopefully Friday or over the weekend I will fit the drop links. Rob

On today, my first real day off since August, I worked on my own car for a change...
Stripped some dark blue leather memory seast I got from CossyDunc (the blue leather is in good nick if anyone wants the swabs, heaters and foams) Stripped some BLACK ALCANTARA leather sports seats of off the manual frames they were on... Fitted uprated heater pads to the back and seat base put them all together to make heated memory all black sports seat and put that into project Shadow.... all under seat wiring tidied up and fresh connectors put in... A busy but satisfying day... Piccies tomorrow...

Well, I have had better days.
Yesterday afternoon I started to replace my droplinks. I had thought this would be a nice easy job, one bolt top and bottom, the Haynes manual seemed to agree with me too. Unfortunately, I was unable to get good access to the top nut so had to drop the suspension strut. It all went back together easy enough. As it was beginning to get dark I left the drivers side to today. Started quite nicely today, dropped the strut, released the droplink then the fun began. While maneuvering the strut I stressed the brake hose which then started leaking. I then spent far too long wrestling with the strut trying to get it to line up through the turret, without any success. I had to give up for today, I was getting very frustrated. I had considered removing the strut from the hub carrier but my 15mm socket couldn't take it and split. I wish I hadn't started, but I'm in too far now. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
