Well I'll be blowed, what a fantastic turn up for the books
This has to be a one in a million, after the aggravation I've had in the past few months dealing with imbecilic insurance companies, it would seem Dom has managed to talk to a real person, and not your usual automaton reading from a script.
Well done that man, and I sincerely hope you can pull the rest of the rabbit from the hat.

As said above, that is excellent news. I was gutted to hear about this car. Hopefully it can now be saved and returned to the road.

Here is a photo of it in happier times last year (with my tourer).

Met Phil (the owner) at a local meet on Sunday. Very nice guy.

That is a fantastic outcome - Congratulations!

All the 'huffing and puffing' paid off!

I have been with LV for over 10 years, but I have noticed a definite downturn in their service quality. I had a set to with them yesterday because they had supplied the wrong NCD docs for my second policy with direct line. An hour or so of frantic phone calls between me, LV and Direct Line ensued. Took ages to get the answers, and at one point the LV girl threatened me with cancellation because I had changed my car too many times during 2010.
Spoke to Direct Line afterwards, asked about Multicar cover, they offered £233 against June's LV renewal of £330. Even with the cancellation fee of £40 I will be better off if I take the 75 to Direct Line.
I had LV down as one of the best for years, but after my experience and the tale of this cat B, I will not renew, may switch policy, and absolutely advise anyone to not use LV again.

As I've said on many occasions on here, car insurance is the closest thing to legalised theft in this Country!

Excellent news, lets all hope it ends up in the hands of an enthusiast, better still, a member of this forum, whereby it's safe future will be a certainty
