Keith, if you are on line, please could you let me know the pin configuration for the older FBH heater, that I have receive back today (Many thanks cheque will be in the post over the weekend) or does it not matter? can I just plug the 6 pin connector from the car straight into the FBH? I have had a look in the post and can not find anything about it only about the parking heater terminal.
Perhaps someone else might be able to let me know?? Many Thanks Tony Fry |

Hip Hip all workign now, your such cleaver people, both the 6 pin connector and the fuel conncector had blanks fitted on!!!.
Got the system up and running, I have put a tempory switched live supply to terminal one, until I can ge hold of a timer and then my alarm fitter can use one of the channels on the Clifford remote to start the FBH and run it on the timer, I will look into the timers from Maplins, but they only run for 15 minutes, I was hoping to get one that run for 20-30 minutes. |

Did you prime the fuel lines when fitting? As for timers, did you look see this one: http://www.quasarelectronics.com/vk8015.htm. The delay can be set from 2 secs to 12 days. I think the battery may be a bit flat after 12 days, though .

Just brought a timer from Maplins (I didn't know it had to be self assembled) guess what I will be doing today!!!. Has anyone used this sort of timer unit for the FBH? I know there has been a tread about using the Maplins remote control unit as well, I will be contacting my alarm installer to see if I could use one of the extra channels on the Clifford alarm to provide a 12v output to energize the timer unit.

Tony the good pcb I sent you is an early type iirc so you need to move the wire from the sensor probably in pin 1 to pin 3 and use pin 1 for the parking heater function

Hello Keith, thanks for the info, for now I have put a temporary +12v to pin one and it fires up okay?
I hope to use this as the remote start wire from the Clifford alarm, that is fitted to the car, so I can remote start the unit and remote switch it off. I hope this is the right thing to do? There was no pin in terminal one on the wiring attached to the car |

I have noticed a few PCB's for sale on ebay:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=017 & http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=017 I don't know if they are the right type for our cars? Perhaps Keith will be able to answer that one. |
