replaced the SMT switches in my (original) key fob last night. one was hanging on by one solder pad and the other was just a frame and needed something metal jamming in to make the contact! fortunately I'd had a second key made up so this was only the backup

Yesterday was degrese engine compartment, wash outside of car, polish headlamps, and check condition of boost hose and egr valve ........................ Yuck that needs a clean!
Doubt it's ever been cleaned .

Had mine serviced yesterday, took the car in and was greeted by the usual eye roll, intake of breath and smile when they ask what engine it was (2.5 v6).
Once I picked it up the mechanic said he was surprised how good a condition it was in and how well it drove considering its age. |

I took my 2.5 V6 in to get a Roadworthy (like an MOT). The mechanic told me it needed two new rear tyres. I knew that so said yep, go ahead.
He fitted them and gave me the Roadworthy with no advisories and as he gave me the keys said 'That's the tidiest car I've seen in 28 years'. Rather pleased

Today I was phoned by SWMBO telling me that the battery was dead on our Rosey, clearly my fault even though I haven't driven the car for 4 days She used the car to get to work last night, parked up as normal on the drive and this morning no power to start it, oh joy of joys now I get to search for what is draining the battery

Had a new Klarius rear silencer fitted today. With 25% off at eurocarparts 'summersale' plus fitting cost at a local garage it worked out at over £50 less than just a Klarius silencer from Halfords, and the guy kindly fitted a new reversing light switch for me at no extra cost.

Fitted the pump and filter covers under the rear squab then fought witht eh seat squab to get it to fit in place securely . Hoovered outt eh builders debris under the seat forst of course!
Removed undertray and fitted new Land Rover fixings then refitted and secured undertray so it's not dragging on the ground Then it was onto the fitting the ECU properly ....................... dared cover did NOT want to play ball. Finally got it on in the end and buttoned plenum up. When i work up the energy and enthusiasm I will tackle the ERG and inlet manifold .

Fitted the nearside 190 disk and refurbished caliper to match the one I did yesterday.
Flushed the brake fluid right through both front lines. Also finally got rid of my cabin vibration when I changed out my bottom mount after finding a small split starting to appear.
