The install is a piece of cake, providing you have the ISO connection, if not eBay it:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Range-Rover-BM...item5d29724314

Or Halfords but there one is £15.99!!!

Its just a straight swap for the original head unit with just a simple mod for the Steering controls.

Its just a matter of removing the Eyebrow above the head unit, there is a shroud under it, using a small screwdriver prise the shroud off, there is two screws holding the eyebrow on, once you have these off, you can pull the eyebrow off.

I would suggest that you remove the cover that's over the heater control panel, just use a blunt screwdriver on this panel and slowly prise the fascia off.

There are two further screws holding the top of the head unit (at the rear of the unit at the top.

You should be then able to pull the head unit out, and them it means just removing the wiring at the rear and swapping them over to the new head unit.

I should take no longer that 10-15 minutes, providing you have the ISO connector.

Again I will be taking pictures when I install chrissyboy's unit , in the next two weeks (depending on when he receives his unit from Sean).

It depends on what wiring your car has, if its the Alpine unit it "should" have the ISO plug. I would suggest you remove the unit before hand to have a look at what you have got.

now that sounds simple - after reading this thread and the previous ones for what seems about 30 years I am getting more tempted !! At the moment I have one of these http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ica-cd...cdx-s2000#null which says it has an ISO connector - anyone replaced one of these with the new unit ?
